New Images Added

29th February 2008
A series of new images has been added to the gallery today. The images were taken in early February 2008 on a cold evening at the Parkamoor Jetty on Coniston. The images feature cool blue tones and as such have been added to the Toned Images gallery. These pictures are in both landscape and portrait format and would make a great set to adorn any wall. Another picture from this series has been converted to cyanotype and added to the black and white gallery, have a look and see what you think.

Lastly I have been out experimenting with a technique called 'Painting with Light' at Furness Abbey. This involves taking pictures in complete darkness by setting the camera on a tripod and leaving the shutter open whilst the subject is illuminated with a light source. The resulting image has a haunted look to it and the sky takes on an orange glow due to the light emitted by the street lighting on the road behind. The result is an unusual and unique image, have a look for yourself in the 'Surrounding Areas' gallery.

That's it for now but look out for images of Ambleside coming soon as I was out on Wednesday evening capturing a very moody sky.
