A successful month!

July was a successful month with news coming in from 3 magazines that they were to feature some of my images in forthcoming magazines.
Firstly an email from Digital SLR User magazine indicating that 4 pictures from Lakeland-Images had been selected to feature in their Top 50 UK Landscapes supplement. This will be distributed free with the magazine with Part 1 out in August and Part 2 in September. Get the magazine and check out the best landscape photography locations in the UK.
Staying with Digital SLR User magazine I entered a landscape photography competition that they were running and have now been informed that my image was selected as the winner! I’m now looking forward to a day in the Peak District with professional landscape photographer Tom Mackie.
The next piece of excellent news was received when the editor of Digital SLR Photography magazine wrote to me to inform me that my image ‘Hammerman’ had received the coveted ‘Editors Choice’ award and would feature in the August issue of the magazine. I have since received a certificate of achievement along with a Kata camera bag from the magazine.
Lastly was an email from the editor of Photography Monthly magazine asking for permission to feature one of my landscape images in their 100th anniversary issue of the magazine which is due on sale the 12th August. My image was chosen as it was one of the highest voted images on their web site and would go forward into a shortlist of 100 where the one voted as best image would win a £250 prize. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
