A Wet Friday at Appleby Horse Fair 2009

Appleby Horse Fair is one of the largest in Europe and takes place early every June. It is held in a field commonly known as Fair Hill, less than a mile from Appleby town centre. The fair took place this year from Thursday 4th - Monday 8th June, I was there with my camera on Friday.

Unfortunately the weather was miserable, freezing cold and pouring with rain and this meant there was not much going on. I did get a few shots but understandably everyone was avoiding the river. The weather improved on Saturday and Sunday but sadly I had to be elsewhere so I'll have to wait until next year for some more images.
