Weddings and Portraits by Darren Athersmith

Following requests to undertake more wedding and portrait sessions I have decided to add a page to this site to advertise the fact. Presently it is simply a single page with some examples of my work but in the longer term I may add more details and further examples, eventually I may even set up an additional web site purely for weddings and portraits.
I am based in South Cumbria in the Village of Ireleth, close to Barrow in Furness and from this location I am willing to travel to photograph weddings from Millom to Kendal and all the towns and villages in between. There are obviously many other wedding photographers in these areas but if you want someone with a passion for photography who will strive to capture your big day in an informal and unobtrusive manner then why not get in touch. With my wife Lesley assisting we will cover your big day from the morning through until the first dance to produce a stunning wedding album for you to cherish. We will also offer a pre wedding shoot where we can get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere and capture some images to assure you of our capabilities on the day. One of these images will be provided mounted for your guests to sing on the day if you wish.
From my home studio I also offer portrait sessions or we can set up in your own home where you may feel more comfortable. Alternatively we can take some relaxed, informal, lifestyle portraits at a location of your choice. Maybe you have a favourite picnic location or you simply want pictures of your kids running in a field, get in touch and we will discuss your requirements.
